Fiberchats is a great YouTube channel for yarn-lovers run by Irina. In each episode she invites known and less-known fiber-artists. With this she hopes that her channel will help promote and showcase fiber-artists, to find out what motivates them, and to discuss the ups and downs in their trade and activities.
The whole setting is interesting and personal. The tone is very friendly, relaxed but still to-the-point. You can find her channel through this > koppling <. It’s really worthwhile!
In her latest episode dated January 25 she invited Wim Vandereyken (Mr. Knitbear) from Belgium, who you also may have come across on our website. Since Wim discovered Twizzter he has been a great promotor for us. We really love him for it, the way he does it and his friendly and enthousiastic personality.
So don’t miss this episode. You get to know Wim, his motivations, the bookwriting with DenDennis that has been so successful, the calming effect knitting and crochet has, how children have to re-gain their ability to create and use their hand for things other than internet and mobile phones. They also talk about a contraption that Wim calls ‘revolutionary’ (!), which is Twizzter, of course. We were SO excited that this came up, without being prepared at all for it.
Do watch it and when you have some time off, scroll along Fiberchat’s many interesting episodes to get inspired, to learn about the people behind the patterns, the Instagram-accounts and the books. It’s really interesting!!!
